Amenities include a new central park shelter with a breezeway, an extensive playground donated by Principal Financial, an accessible ramp and multimodal path, hockey and family ice rinks in the winter, passive recreation space, and connections to the Fox Trot Trail, improved lighting throughout, and native plantings.
A central park feature is the Miron Construction Amphitheater. With lawn seating for 3,500, the amphitheater will be home to the Mile of Music Festival. Jones Park will continue to provide green space and recreation opportunities for downtown employees, residents, and visitors well into the future.
