Open Positions

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team.

What you’ll do:

  • Organize and manage structural design efforts for multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Design and layout structural engineering drawings for assigned projects/work assignments including the preparation of plans, schedules, details and specifications.
  • Design structural systems of steel, reinforced concrete, precast concrete, post tensioned concrete, masonry, timber, cold-formed metal framing, and shallow and deep foundations for a variety of healthcare, commercial, hospitality, industrial and institutional buildings.
  • Review and resolve a variety of complex problems, i.e., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult condition requirements.
  • Prepare structural calculations for submittal to regulating authority.
  • Perform and/or coordinate the review of shop drawing submittals and post modifications as needed.
  • Perform construction site observation visits and prepare reports of site visits completed.
  • Exhibit staff development skills through coaching and mentorship; may supervise or coordinate the work of fellow engineers or technicians.

Who you are:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10 + years’ experience in structural design; PE licensure expected, SE licensure encouraged.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs including RISA, RAM and ADAPT.
  • Knowledgeable in consulting and construction practices associated with design/bid/build, design/build and construction manager roles and responsibilities.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to draft correspondence, reports and communicate effectively with all project team members.
  • Act as a primary lead and provide technical assistance for multiple projects during design, bidding, permitting and construction.
  • Provide efficiency reviews and/or value engineering options for existing designs.
  • Able to demonstrate ability to handle and be responsible for project delivery which may be multiple, large or complex in scope.
 

We have an opportunity for an experienced Structural Project Engineer to join our team.

What you’ll do:

  • Knowledge and understanding of project development and design process including design involving steel, composite design, reinforced concrete, precast concrete, post tensioned concrete, masonry, timber, light gauge framing, shallow and deep foundations.
  • Produce contract documents conforming to applicable building codes with guidance and supervision.
  • Basic design and layout of structural engineering drawings for assigned projects including the preparation of plans, schedules and details.
  • Prepare structural calculations.
  • Work cooperatively and collaboratively with project team of designers and engineers to follow through with tasks and recommend solutions for completing design tasks.
  • Perform construction administration tasks including RFI responses, submittal reviews and site observation visits.
  • Visit job sites to verify existing conditions.

Who you are:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.
  • 3-10 years’ experience in structural design.
  • PE preferred, or EIT and working towards professional engineering license.
  • Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiar with building codes, zoning regulations and approval process.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be comfortable working independently and also in a team-oriented environment, with multiple projects and varied deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to draft correspondence, reports and communicate effectively with project team members.

We have an opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our team.  You will be responsible for providing the project team with electrical design support and assist in the review and mark-up of shop drawing submittals. You will be involved in activities and projects, including interfacing with cross-functional teams consisting of mechanical, structural, plumbing, lighting, and architectural.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and develop construction documents for electrical power, lighting and low voltage systems.
  • Work with multi-disciplined teams of professionals – Engineers, Planners, and Architects on various building projects.
  • Write specifications for particular projects.
  • Perform load calculations.
  • Attend project meetings.
  • Conduct field surveys.
  • Visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
  • Perform short circuit, coordination and arc-flash studies using industry standard programs.
  • Work under the advisement of a senior project engineer to support design efforts.
  • Participate in project pursuits, interviews and various business development activities.

Who you are:

  • A Bachelor‘s degree in Electrical Engineering required and 6+ years relevant work experience.
  • Wisconsin PE licensure, or working towards license.
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of electrical terminology and components.
  • Experience with the National Electric Code (NEC).
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to draft correspondence, reports and communicate effectively with project team members.

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer to support the engineering needs of clients specific to HVAC design and applications. You will be an integral team member and will manage and participate in design reviews and other team development processes.

 

What you’ll do:
  • Utilize drafting/design/load calculation software and technique to ensure that the design intent is achieved.
  • Lead preparation of technical reports, plans, specifications, and supporting documents.
  • Design of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Systems.
  • Fill out permits, plan approval forms, etc. in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of drawings.
  • Visit job site to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
  • Lead design efforts and meet production deadlines.
  • Assist and participate in project pursuits, interviews and varied business development activities.
Who you are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years’ experience.
  • Working towards PE licensure, or licensed.
  • Technical experience in systems design of HVAC controls systems.
  • Knowledge & experience with HVAC equipment and installation.
  • Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, Trace 700, COMcheck and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiar with HVAC design fundamentals, including a background and knowledge of IMC, IBC, IECC, ASHRAE, FGI, and life safety code.
  • Provide technical expertise for various projects during full life-cycle of the project.
  • Handle multiple tasks/projects and manage priorities accordingly.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to draft correspondence, reports and communicate effectively with all project team members.

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical BIM/CAD Designer to join our team.  You will be responsible for providing specialized drafting support on various architectural and engineering projects.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide drafting support and building information modeling.
  • Meet production deadlines.
  • Aid in the development of new workflows and production of construction documents.
  • Utilize drafting/design software and technique to ensure that the design intent is achieved.
  • Able to complete a full set of construction documents; understands how buildings are constructed to create accurate and descriptive technical documents.
  • Support and work closely with studio team members; architects, designers, engineers, and interior designers.
  • Accountable for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of project work.

Who you are:

  • Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3-5 years’ CAD experience.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design/rendering software packages.
  • Adept working with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic understanding of applicable building codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Understands the roles of people on the project team and is able to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Respond timely and appropriately to requests and inquiries from internal and external clients.
  • Self-motivated, high level of accountability and strong time management skills.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Plumbing Project Designer to join the team. You will be involved in projects and tasks while interfacing with cross-functional teams consisting of mechanical, electrical, structural, lighting, and architectural.

 
What you’ll do:
  • Design and develop construction documents for plumbing water distribution and drainage systems.
  • Utilize engineering experience to solve issues related to existing or proposed infrastructure.
  • Project design, planning, QC review, and budget tracking.
  • Coordinate with and work with Municipalities and other approval bodies.
  • Work cooperatively and collaboratively with the project team of designers and engineers to bring to completion design tasks.
  • Recommend ways to improve the process, quality, and coordination efforts.

Who you are:

  • Wisconsin PE or DE license, or working towards professional licensure.
  • Knowledge of the Wisconsin Plumbing code and International Plumbing code.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to draft correspondence/reports and communicate effectively with project team members.
