Zachariah’s Acres launched as a 501c3 nonprofit in January of 2012 through the generosity of a single family, who gifted 48 acres of pristine land in western Waukesha County, Wisconsin, including open fields, treed trails through the woods, ponds and rolling hills. A Board of Directors was selected, and the work began.
Zachariah’s Acres’ vision is to create a place where nature, wildlife and agricultural experiences are accessible to children and families living with disabilities who might not otherwise have these opportunities.
Zachariah’s Acres’ plans to create a campus with dedicated facilities and resources. Phase One will include a private roadway and parking, a multi-purpose building, and a four-season pavilion which will allow families to enjoy activities, rain or shine, year-round.
