The expansion and renovation of the Rock County Jail and Law Enforcement Services Center (LES) now feature a state-of-the-art 92,000-square-foot facility, accommodating the Sheriff’s Department Law Enforcement operations and a dormitory housing unit. The project added 47,000 square feet of new housing space, an 11,000-square-foot garage, and 45,000 square feet of renovated areas within the existing jail.
A significant upgrade to the emergency power system was also completed, replacing the outdated 300-kW generator with a robust 500-kW diesel generator. This enhancement required meticulous planning to streamline distribution upgrades and seamlessly reconnect existing systems to the new generator, ensuring reliable power for all critical operations.
