The City of Reedsburg replaced its aging, flood-prone site with a resilient, consolidated campus anchored by a pre-engineered metal building that unites Public Works and Parks & Recreation. The 42,500-square-foot main facility features bays for 30 large vehicles, smaller equipment, a high-performance wash bay, plumbing supply and brine rooms, and dedicated zones for maintenance, welding, sign production, and barricade storage. Staff amenities include modern offices, training/break rooms, and locker facilities, with Parks & Recreation supported by its own equipment storage, office, and maintenance bay. The campus also includes a 7,700-SF cold storage and a 6,500-SF salt and sand storage building.
Harwood delivered integrated structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and telecommunication design for the facility. Our engineering team supported specialized equipment systems and provided energy-efficient solutions, such as in-floor heating and translucent daylight panels, to optimize comfort and natural light throughout the workspace.
