The new 40,000 SF addition features innovative solutions, advancements in robotics and cutting-edge technology, including the fiber laser welder. Part of the project also included updates such as a new front entrance, an expanded conference center and the reconfiguration of the student services department.
Harwood’s civil and landscape teams played a critical role in addressing key site challenges, including wayfinding and stormwater management. The reconfiguration of the main campus entry was a top priority, as the original layout created confusion for visitors. By relocating the flagpoles to a more prominent position and redesigning the entryway, Harwood improved navigation and established a clear focal point for the campus. Additionally, the updated stormwater management plan and utility design ensured the site could support the expanded facilities while maintaining environmental sustainability.
The landscape architecture was thoughtfully designed to complement the building’s modern aesthetic, including its signage and glass building façade. Harwood incorporated fencing for maintenance purposes and created a cohesive design that blends the new addition with the existing campus. With additional parking and a focus on functionality, the project not only enhances the campus’s visual appeal.
