The Madison Fire Department is very excited and proud to be providing a high level of EMS and Fire service to the far east side residents. This newly constructed station is approximately 13,500 SF on a 1.377-acre site. It provides spaces for living and sleeping quarters for a double company plus two officer quarters with living support spaces such as; toilet and shower rooms, kitchen, dining, gym room, day room, laundry, and a community room with adjoining toilet room for public use.
Built to be very modern and efficient, it employs many state-of-the-art systems to maximize its effectiveness. It utilizes solar power, geothermal heating and cooling systems, and a site layout that maximizes passive lighting. The station is incredibly cost-effective to operate.
