Our relationship started with a complete re-cladding of the facility, a significant addition to the west, and a complete interior renovation of the five-story facility. Years of wear and tear warranted a fresh facade that would stand the test of time. A post tension concrete parking structure added convenience for patients and employees. Mechanically the BloodCenter Labs are supported by a specialized lab suitable 100% outside air centralized air handling system with high-efficiency energy recovery, pre and final filtration, and recently updated ultra-violet lighting to sanitize the coil and filter chambers. Air conditioning is provided by a pair of air-cooled chillers, and heating utilizes district city steam supplied by WE Energies.
Construction was accomplished with a fully occupied complex that was and is essential to the community’s blood supplies.
