The project involved coordination of the most efficient design models with electronic self-rooming software, building sound masking, and other cutting edge health care technologies.
Harwood designed a compact power distribution system consisting of normal, critical, and life safety branches. each branch is backed up by a natural gas generator to eliminate an power interruptions. To keep patients comfortable and provide usable light where needed for staff, state of the art LED light fixtures and digital controls were utilized. The digital controls or Building Automation System will provide invaluable intel to the owner on usage costs and how to save energy. Building Security includes a door access system, a CCTV System and Nurse Call System. To maintain the safety of the patients and medical staff, a complete Fire Alarm system was provided.
