Engineers implemented energy-efficient solutions, including LED lighting with advanced controls, a high-efficiency boiler system, and variable-air-volume rooftop units for optimized heating and cooling. Unique lighting designs, such as programmable color-changing fixtures in the Cycling Space, enhanced the member experience, while low-flow plumbing fixtures and destratification fans improved sustainability.
The project also introduced new electrical and gas services for the expansion to maintain operations during construction, and added an emergency standby generator for increased readiness. With contributions from multiple engineering disciplines, the updated facility now supports childcare, senior programs, and recreational activities, creating a modern, efficient space for all ages in the Green County community.
